Last week I introduced you to two Posse members: Lauren and Lindsay. This week, it’s my pleasure to introduce two more lovely ladies to the Pendleton Posse blog: my sister Jenni and posse member Crystal.  Both of these women have been in the Posse for several seasons and its wonderful having them on the Pendleton® Whisky team.

We wanted to give our readers a glimpse of what life is like outside of the Pendleton Posse and what kind of activities we enjoy off the road.  Continue reading below to get to know the girls a little better, and stay tuned to the blog for more Posse stories over the coming months. Let’er Buck, Pendleton® Whisky fans!

When I’m not traveling with the Pendleton Posse, I am working as an RN in the operating room. I have learned the value of health and the importance of people in my life through this job, which brings my Pendleton® Whisky family and friends even that much closer to my heart.

Outside of work, my family is one of the most important parts of my life.  This is why it is such a gift to be able to travel with my sister, Mindy, on Pendleton trips across the country.

When I’m not working with the Pendleton Posse, I work full time at a Physical Therapy clinic. In that five and a half years I’ve been able to meet a lot of great people and hear fascinating stories. In my free time I love to be outdoors. I love to go boating and spend time on Idaho’s sandy river beaches with friends. Also, when I have the time I enjoy riding my dirt bike, camping and hiking. During the winter season when I can’t get outdoors as much, I like to read or make arts and crafts – like so many others, I have become addicted to DIY on Pinterest. These are just a few things that help keep me recharged in everyday life.

We’d like to introduce two members of the Pendleton Posse, Lauren and Lindsay, to the Posse Blog. We’re sure many of you have seen them at rodeos across the country – Lauren is going into her fifth season with the Posse and this will be Lindsay’s second. They are a vital part of what we do here at Pendleton® Whisky, and they LOVE getting to know you when they are on the road. To allow you the chance to get to know them a little better, we’ve invited them to contribute stories that we’re excited to share with you over the coming months.

To start, Lauren and Lindsay each took a minute to share insight into how they spend their Easter holiday weekend – and we’re glad they did! Keep reading below to hear about the ladies’ Easter traditions and family- filled weekend. We hope you had a great one too. Let’er Buck!

Lucky for me, this year, the Easter holiday fell during my spring break.  Early on in my break, we headed up to Northern California to Mendocino National Forest and went backpack camping for four days. We made it back to sunny South California just in time for our Easter celebration in the enjoyable 80 degree weather.

Easter morning, we woke up at 5 a.m. and hiked Torrey Pines State Park to watch the sunrise from the top of the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This has been a tradition of mine for the past several years, and it’s something I find very special on Easter morning. After the hike, we attended church, after which I made our annual secret family recipe for brunch and sipped on mimosas while watching the Master’s. Did you watch that ending? Congrats Bubba!

This was my quiet, but lovely, day – and I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

Let’er Buck!

Every year, my family gets together to celebrate Easter – brunch style.  My cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents all get together at a little place called Chuckanut Manor in Bow, Wash., which has an outstanding buffet with almost everything you can imagine! There is a prime rib carving station, succulent honey ham, and create-your-own omelets.  There are several options for the main meal and I can’t forget about the massive selection of desserts, my favorite is the lemon bar… or mini pecan pie, I can’t decide!

It was a wonderful time to catch up with my grandpa, who is turning 91 this August, and learn some of his life experiences and listen to valuable advice.  After brunch, we always travel 10 minutes south to my grandparents’ summer house and enjoy the warm weather we so rarely have up in Washington, walking along the beach combing the sand for crabs.

Afterwards, it was a long drive home, which was made longer by the food coma we all delightfully suffered from.
