This Easter holiday, unfortunately, I will be buried in books. However, I’ll be sure to make the most of it while I can! There are several traditions I have with my family that I will make time to celebrate this Sunday, and I can’t wait.

You may remember me writing about my Easter festivities last year, and I call them traditions for a reason! Each Easter morning I like to get up before dawn and take a hike. I make it to the top of the mountain in time to watch the sunrise on this special Sunday. Afterwards, my whole family heads to church and then we prepare a traditional family meal. It’s a secret…but I can tell you it is finger lickin’ good! The rest of the day will consist of studying and eating chocolate from the Easter Bunny, oh, and perhaps a little Pendleton® Whisky too!

We were blown away by how many friends we found in Houston! Everyone comes to play when the Houston Rodeo is in town and they don’t mess around. It seemed to me that they also didn’t mind a little Pendleton® Whisky while they were cheering for their favorite cowboys.

We were able to hang out at a variety of stores and bars throughout town. I have to give a shout out to the Spec’s Texas Superstore in Houston. Jenni and I nicknamed it “Spec’s Disneyland” since it was so huge! We pulled off an incredible Pendleton® Whisky party in the aisle with all of our new friends at the store. We had everyone yelling “Let’er Buck” with us – it was so much fun!

We can’t wait to head back next year to help celebrate the Houston Rodeo! And of course, we won’t hesitate to pour a little Pendleton® Whisky!

St. Patrick’s Day has always been a favorite holiday of mine, with the goofy hats, green eggs and ham, shamrock decorations, and of course the green drinks! This year, however, I am changing things up just a little – I plan on running my first 15k. Here’s to hoping the luck of the Irish will be with me!

So, for this St. Patrick’s Day, I’m going to run like crazy, gasp for breath, then kick back and relax with a glass of dyed green Pendleton® Whisky on the rocks and enjoy all the festivities this day has to offer.

I hope you have a safe and very merry St. Patrick’s Day! To all you leprechauns out there – Let’er Buck!
